I attempted to close my Tunecore account as I have not used their music distribution services in four years. Two different customer service reps have refused to close my account on the premise that I have transactions on file.
My account has a balance of three cents and I have made it clear that I am not concerned about. They can keep the pennies. I would just like my account closed as I have no intention of ever using their services again.
To anyone reading this, I would strongly recommend using CDBaby or Distrokid for distribution instead. Seriously, what does it tell you when the founders of Tunecore, who are no longer involved with the company, are publicly endorsing Distrokid?
